The Great Prosser Balloon Rally

We LOVE the "balloon ally" around this house. I was sooo mad when we got to the airport Saturday morning and I had forgotten my camera, so Sunday morning I stood out in the middle of the street in my pj's and slippers and captured this one. We were a little disappointed because they didn't do the night glow, but the kids had fun listening to the steel drum band and doing the LIMBO!!

Kamille Turns 6!
Happy Birthday Kamille. Not wanting to break from tradition Kamille had to have barbeque for her birthday. It kinda gets CRAZY, but all worth the fun. Brady was in charge of the candle application and thought it would be fun to use the whole box to make a number 6. Good job on blowing out all those candles and not catching your hair on fire! We love you Meal!!

Get'cher motor runnin'....Head out on the Highway
Paul wanted to go on a Harley ride, and visit his brother in Utah, so he decided to put the two together. Then he talked to his friend Ron who is a huge Harley rider, and he talked him into meeting him in northern California. They headed up the Pacific Coast Highway to Highway 101 and on home. Six days and 2800+ miles later he arrived home from his adventure with lots of stories and fun pictures.

Peaches anyone?
Lucy, Mary, and I did our marathon peach canning day again. It was one of Mary's contractual obligations - Canning takes place at her house. It makes for a long day, but you only have to clean up the mess once!! Only this time Mom, I had to mop the floor.

"My Big Girl Bed!"
Since Kali had mastered climbing out of her crib I decided it was time to break out the toddler bed. I found some bedding online that matches Kamille's and Gramps painted the bed white for us, and voila - A new bed. Kali was very excited. Too bad I couldn't get her to go to sleep in it. Oh well, at least she won't fall trying to get out of it in the morning!!

School Days have begun.
School has finally begun. The boys started last week. Brady is a big middle schooler now! Taylor is in the 4th grade. His teacher is Mrs. Manley. We have heard nothing but good about her, and are looking forward to a great year. Kamille started all-day Kindergarten this year. She has Mrs. Childers, which Taylor is very excited about, because that was his kindergarten teacher. She is having a great time, and Kali and I are having fun hanging out just the two of us!

Labor Day Parade
Today Kamille was in the annual Prosser Labor Day Parade. Before the parade began I took Sydney and Kamille to see the floats. My friend Bill Campbell asked if they wanted their picture taken on the float, and with a squeal of delight asked me if it was okay. Then as we were leaving Miss Prosser and her princesses came and so they wanted a picture taken with them also. Sydney and Kamille were handing out flyers for The Nutcracker that both of them are in. They walked the first half, and then got a ride the rest of the way. Just practicing their wave for when they REALLY get to ride on the float!
