It's tradition in the Giles family that for Family Home Evening before Halloween we carve our pumpkins. Here are the finished products. Unfortunately I don't have any "during" pictures. I was up to my elbows in "Guck"!

Apple Cider, Anyone?
One of my many memories growing up is making apple cider every fall! Our friends the Hulse's invited us out to their house Friday to make cider with them. My kids were very excited. They have missed not being able to make it since Grandpa Yetter has been gone. Our friends the Buttars were out there as well. We had a great time visiting and tasting the cider and apple crisp that Rachel and the younger girls made for us. Thanks for the great memories and the wonderful Apple Cider!!

My Baby is 3! How can this be?
Kali has turned 3. It seems like just yesterday that I was bringing her home from the hospital. We had a great time with lots of good food and family and friends. As you can see, her new bike was the highlight. She made her Dad stand outside with a flashlight so that she could ride it "right now".

Does anyone know this little girl?
I was getting ready to go to Tawnya and Shad's wedding reception and straightening my hair, when Kali came in and said she wanted hers that way too. I usually give an adamant "NO", but tonight I didn't have any good excuse not to. This is the finished product. I don't like her hair this way because she looks like a completely different child. In fact, when we got to the reception Aunt Lucy was standing across the gym and wondered who's child I was holding!!! Kali loves it. She keeps asking me to show her with straight hair.
